What does Nét Đôi compare?

The experience looks at visible geometry in the two photos you choose: face shape, eyes, brows, nose, smile, and overall proportions. Each region is normalized before comparison to reduce the effect of image size and face position.

The score describes only this pair of images. A different expression, camera angle, or light can change the result, so it is a playful visual observation rather than a relationship test or identity tool.

Choose photos that are easy to read

Use one separate portrait per person, facing mostly forward, in clear light, without hair, masks, or accessories covering most of the face.

If a photo is too dark, blurry, small, or contains several faces, the on-device quality check asks you to choose another before continuing.

Private from the first try

In the public trial, original photos are read and processed in the browser and are not uploaded. If you choose to save the result in the app, only reduced WebP copies with EXIF and GPS metadata removed are stored privately.

When a partner is invited, each person chooses their own photo and confirms their own rights and consent.

Do we need a photo together?

No. Use one separate portrait for each person. Clear, mostly front-facing photos give a more stable result.

Is this face recognition?

No. It compares a reduced geometric description of two photos; it does not verify identity or search for a person in a database.

Are original photos uploaded?

The public trial processes originals on your device. If you save an experience, the app stores only private, reduced WebP copies with metadata removed.
